Skoda has finally launched its popular sedan car Octavia 2021 in India .This five-seater sedan has been brought in Style and Lauren & Clement (L&K) variants. Both the variants will be available in the market with the same engine option. It is worth noting that before this Skoda was launched in the global markets in 2019.
The new Octavia gets a redesigned grille, which gives it a more premium look.
Bi-LED headlights have been added to the grille. Also, the taillights now look more stylish than before with the new Skoda badging at the rear. The L&K variant gets an Aero Black 17-inch multi-spoke dual tone alloy as well. Apart from that, the shark fin antenna at the back makes it extremely attractive.
The cabin of the 2021 Skoda Octavia gets features like 12-way power adjustable driver seat with leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster and 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The top model Lauren & Clemente also gets some additional features like wireless charger, adaptive LED headlamp, hands-free parking assist, power boot lid, 12-speaker Canon premium sound system and driver fatigue alert. It will also be available in two additional colors: Brown and Silver.
The 2021 Octavia is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that generates 187.4bhp power between 4,180 to 6,600rpm and 320 Nm of torque between 1,500 to 3,990rpm. In addition, the car has been powered by a 7-speed DSG gearbox equipped with shift-by-wire technology. Moreover, for sporty driving, paddle shifters are also provided at the rear of the two-spoke steering wheel, with the help of which the driver can also change gears manually if needed.
Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, Skoda’s new car gets front and rear side airbags. A total of six airbags have been given in the first variant, while a total of eight airbags are available in the Lauren & Klement variant. As additional safety features, it also has standard features like front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS, ESC, hill hold control and anti slip regulation. The new Skoda Octavia Style variant is priced at Rs 25.99 lakh and the top variant is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh. Both these are ex-showroom prices.
