The recent death of Punjabi rapper cum singer Sidhu Moose Wala took the whole nation into grief. On Friday, around three weeks after the death, the fans were taken with sudden surprise as a Sidhu Moose Wala’s new song named SYL was released.
Moose Wala’s new song SYL was officially released on his YouTube channel after the death of the legendary singer. The song’s first promo was shared by Sidhu Moose Wala’s Instagram account that took the fans into an emotional roller coaster. The comments section was flocked with heart-filled messages for the late singer.
The late Punjabi singer cum rapper was murdered on 29th May in Mansa district of Punjab. The assailants, as alleged by the police, belong to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and are believed to have murdered Moose Wala on political grounds.
On Friday evening, Sidhu Moose Wala’s latest song SYL was released in his official YouTube channel. Within an hour of its premier, the song hit a record of 1 million views. SYL has been written, sung and composed by the late singer who recorded the song weeks before his sudden death.

Moose Wala’s creative team have said that there are several unfinished songs of the late singer which are yet to be released. They also said that within due course of time, these songs will be released.
Soon after the release of SYL, the song received immense love and support from the public. Many expressed overwhelming responses – one fan commented in Punjabi: “This brought tears to our eyes. Nobody can take your place.” Another fan got emotional and wrote, “Legends never die.”
The public is loving the new release and has already labelled it as a chartbuster. Reiterating the same, one fan wrote, “His music will keep him alive forever. Sidhu can never die till his listeners are there.”
Sidhu Moose Wala, the 28 year old rising Punjabi superstar, was among his peak success days before he was shot dead by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. An ideal investigation is still underway as the murderers are yet not convincingly convicted.
Moose Wala had become a household name after the successful breakthrough of his song name ‘So High’. Other tracks such as Legend, The Last Ride and 295 are among the ones that are quite popular from Moose Wala’s collection.

Sidhu Moose Wala was also into politics as he had contested for the Punjab Legislative Assembly Elections earlier in 2022 from Mansa by the Congress party.
