Sachin Tendulkar, also better known as the ‘Little Master’, ‘Master Blaster’ and ‘God of cricket’ has ruled the hearts of million cricket fans throughout his cricketing career of 23 years, which is 1989-2013. With his remarkable achievements, progressive records, in class techniques and warmth and love towards the game, Sachin Tendulkar has rightfully established his worth and value in the Indian Cricket Team throughout his career. At one time, it was impossible to imagine the Indian Team without his appearance in it. Hence, it is only given that a player with such an iconic status would serfdom fade away from the public eye after he drops out of the game. Hence, here is what the ‘Master Blaster’ has done after announcing his retirement: 

I. Valuable contribution to sports: The most enriching aspect of Tendulkar’s post retirement life has been his active involvement in sports other than cricket. The most popular move lies in the ownership of the Indian Super League franchise named Kerala Blasters. Other than this, he also co-owns the Premier Badminton League franchise, Bengaluru Blasters. In addition to this, Tendulkar has also taken active interest in the game of lawn tennis, which was made quite clear when he attended various grand slam matches of his favourite player, Roger Federer. 

II. Books and Films: Tendulkar’s story not only reflects success but it also tells us various aspects of struggle, perseverance and excellence. His story is also an epitome of inspiration, of which he is well aware of. Hence, he focused on creating his autobiography ‘Playing It My Way’ written with the help of well known journalist Boria Majumdar. Right after the huge success of his book, Tendulkar also initiated the movie ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ in his, which focuses on telling the perspectives of his life through his own words and experiences. In a recent development, he also collaborated with Sonu Nigam for the song ‘Cricketwali Beat’. 

III. Philanthropy: In his LinkedIn profile, Tendulkar recently took over the news of his which highlighted upon one of his post retirement activities is to adopt Puttamraju Kandriga, a village in Andhra Pradesh. “Seeing the village a new look after two years of intensive infrastructural development, had a joy that can’t be put into words”, he wrote in the post. Tendulkar also stands as an UNICEF Ambassador for Hygiene and Sanitation. He also pledged to involve a project named ‘Spreading Happiness’ that provides electricity to deprived areas.
