Reliance Jio to begin 5g beta trials tomorrow in select Indian cities

Reliance Jio announced in a statement on Tuesday that a select group of consumers would participate in a beta testing of its 5G service starting on October 5th in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi.

Customers will receive an invitation to check out the company’s 5G services as part of the Jio True 5G Welcome Offer, and subscribers will receive unlimited 5G internet at speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second.

On the auspicious day of Dussehra, Jio is launching the Beta trial of its True-5G services for Jio users in four cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi. This follows the company’s successful presentation of these services during the India Mobile Congress 2022.

The 5G network of Reliance Industries Ltd., according to billionaire Mukesh Ambani, will offer services and reach the most rural areas of India by December of next year.

Ambani added that he anticipates the technology will enable India to grow into a significant exporter of high-value digital products and services as 5G helps the nation become the global hub for intelligence.

Even while the technology hasn’t yet proven viable for other Asian telecom carriers, Reliance is depending on the nationwide deployment of 5G to help entice high-paying wireless consumers and enhance its e-commerce and media business.

In his speech, Ambani stated that “5G is far more than just the next generation of communication technology. The full potential of other disruptive technologies, including artificial intelligence, the internet of things, robotics, blockchain, and metaverse, is unlocked by this basic technology.”

The 5g spectrum is going to be Reliance Jio’s one of the biggest projects undertaken till date. The select Indian cities will soon witness 5g connectivity in devices supporting the network speed. Mukesh Ambani has lately been quite passionate about this project, which is a huge collaboration with the ruling Modi led BJP government.
