Pakistan: Lahore, Karachi, among other major cities hit by power shortage

Due to a problem with the transmission lines, Pakistan experienced a significant power outage that left major cities without energy.

“Multiple outages have been reported from various locations throughout the city. We are looking into the matter and will update this area, “said K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana in a tweet.

Geo News Pakistan has claimed that some locations in Karachi and Lahore were without electricity, confirming the situation.

According to Quetta Electric Supply Company, the two transmission lines from Guddu to Quetta tripped (QESCO). According to the firm, Quetta and 22 other Baloch districts lack electricity, as reported by Geo News.
