Myntra registered a record sale of 10 million items during its biggest fashion sale event.

Myntra is one of India’s leading e-commerce apparel platforms which has established a remarkable reputation of itself in the market. The highest sale of Myntra had surpassed all records last year during its ‘Big Fashion Festival’ season. According to official reports, Myntra enjoyed a sale of over 10 million fashion items towards the end of the sale. Various customers registered an order record of 4 million, which is one of the highest in the recent past. 

The orders received were across multiple categories, majorly being the men’s jeans and streetwear, women’s western wear, women’s ethnic wear, men’s casuals and personal care. Even after an upsurge of a national lockdown, Myntra had released their sale, which processed over 8,000 orders and sold 18,800 products per minute. With that, it successfully registered a record of 30% growth in year-on-year sales report. 

Official reports released by Myntra highlights that the buyers came from all around the country, but most of them ordered from Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Imphal, Aizawl and Panchkula. The most ordered men’s product was the T-shirts, which sold around 1.7 million units and the most common product for women was kurtas, which sold about 8,00,000 units in total. 

“Over 3.5 million customers shopped during the event, with about 13.5 million unique visitors, generating close to 120 million sessions. We have recorded an 86 per cent increase in the number of customers from tier 2 and 3 cities and beyond, the highest so far.” said Amar Nagaram, CEO, Myntra.
