Jacinda Ardern to resign as New Zealand PM, shocking revelation, “It’s time”

Jacinda Ardern, the prime minister of New Zealand, made the unexpected revelation that she would be leaving her post. Jacinda Ardern claimed she “no longer had enough in the tank” to carry out her duties at her party’s annual convention.

“It’s time,” she remarked adding that she had thought about whether she had the stamina to continue leading the nation over the summer break and had come to the conclusion that she did not.

“I’m going because of the responsibility that comes with a privileged position. the duty to recognize when you are qualified to lead and when you are not I am aware of what this profession entails. And I understand that I’m running out of gas to do it justice. That’s how easy it is,” she said.

No later than February 7, Jacinda Ardern’s tenure as prime minister will come to an end. “I am a human, and so are politicians. For as long as we can, we offer everything we have. Then the time comes. And it’s time for me,” she remarked.

She replied, “as someone who always tried to be nice,” when asked how she wanted New Zealanders to remember her leadership.

“I want New Zealanders to believe that it’s possible to be nice but firm, sympathetic but decisive, and upbeat but laser-focused.” Jacinda Ardern added, “And that you can be your own sort of leader, one who knows when to leave.”
