Ishaan Khatter made his debut in 2017 with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds, and quickly established himself as one of Bollywood’s most promising young talents. His projects, three films and a miniseries, may receive mixed reviews, but one thing remains the same: his performances have been critically acclaimed.

Ishaan was recently seen in a relationship with Tabu on Mira Nair’s A Fit Boy series. His kitty has two big projects: a horror comedy called “Telephone Shots,” starring Katrina Cave and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and a war drama called “Pippa.” Here are some lesser-known facts about him when he turns 25 on Sunday.

1. Ishaan dated a ‘much older woman’

In his Koffee With Karan debut, Ishaan shares a couch with his half-brother Shahid Kapoor. The two opened up in the “Koffee Shots” round and made some interesting revelations. Ishaan drank when host Karan Johar asked any of them if they were “with a much older woman.”

Karan wondered how old the woman was and Ishaan said, “A third of yours?” Shaheed said, “You’ll be arrested the moment you finish the show,” he quickly clarified, “Same, plus a third is what I mean.”

“It’s more like 45,” Ishaan said, to Karan and Shahid’s surprise. “It’s not the age, it’s the percentage!” he clarified.

2. Ishaan spied on Shahid

Later during this round, Ishaan admitted to spying on Shahid. However, Shahid claimed that he never did: “I don’t need to look at him, he is sitting on my face all the time.” episode, his marriage to Mira Rajput will be in trouble.

3. Ishaan has a cameo in Udta Punjab

Before Ishaan’s first starring role in Beyond The Clouds, he was a children’s entertainer in Vaah! Long live Ho Dong Ace! He is an assistant director on Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab, which stars Shahid, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. 4. Ishaan sees nepotism as ‘threatening’

Actors Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khattar’s son Ishaan didn’t shy away from the topic of nepotism in his debut in Koffee With Karan. When asked to name an actual Bollywood stereotype, he said: “Nepotism is a threat, it’s there, it’s a reality.” When Karan reminded him that he was a product of it, he admitted that he took it and said, “I think so.”

5. Ishaan saves Janhvi Kapoor’s phone number in his phone, titled “Are That Potatoes”

Ishaan got on well with his Dhadak co-star Janhvi Kapoor and remains in close contact with her to this day. He insisted that Koffee and Karan were just friends, despite shooting him multiple times. He also revealed an interesting fact about their friendship. He said that he kept his contact information on his phone under the name “Those potatoes.”

Ishan explained the reasoning behind the strange name, saying, “It’s strange. For some reason, she looked at a stone in the monument and asked, ‘Are they potatoes?’ It was that big. So I thought it was hysterical and I haven’t been able to get rid of it ever since. So she was ‘those potatoes?'”
