Ghaziabad: Man allegedly murders neighbor with ‘Khukhri’ in society brawl

At Anukampa Apartment in the Indirapuram neighborhood of Ghaziabad city, a late-night dispute on Wednesday allegedly resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man by his neighbor with a “Khukri.” Police said that the culprit left the area, and they are currently looking for him.

The victim, Parminder Kumar, was from Baghpat in UP, while the suspect was identified as KK Pandey (450), a native of Mirzapur in UP, according to Ghaziabad police sources.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the suspect and a neighbour were sitting outside their homes when the suspect claimed that someone had cut the cable to his bike on purpose.

“The victim made some comments about the damage to the bike that the suspect did not like. A verbal fight soon broke out. The suspect struck the deceased’s wife when she arrived in the interim. After that, the neighbor was able to settle the situation by sending them to their apartments” according to police superintendent Gyanendra Kumar Singh (city 2).

He further added, “After a while, the Kumar went to the suspect’s residence with a stick to get revenge for the harm done to his wife after learning that she had been struck,” according to police superintendent Gyanendra Kumar Singh (city 2).”

The dead man pulled out a “khukhri” as soon as he arrived at suspect Pandey’s apartment and delivered two blows. A hefty knife with an inwardly curving, sharp blade is called a khukhri. It is employed as a tool and a weapon in several South Asian nations as well as by army regiments.

The victim of the khukhri attack sustained two significant injuries to his abdomen as a result of the attack, and after collapsing, he was taken to a local hospital. After that, the suspect left the area, SP continued.

Police filed a FIR for murder and attempted murder against the wanted suspect at the Indirapuram police station after receiving a complaint from the victim’s wife.
