India vs Australia: Indian cricket team reach Sydney, Kohli to get rugby legend’s suite during quarantine

After leaving the United Arab Emirates, the Indian cricket team has arrived in Australia to begin preparations for the highly anticipated two-nation series. India will play three T20s, three ODIs and four Tests during their two-month stay in Australia. Although the first T20 match is scheduled for November 27, the Indian team, led by captain Virat Kohli, arrived early as they will now begin a 14-day quarantine and training period in suburban Sydney.

The Indian contingent arrived in the late afternoon, along with Australian stars including David Warner, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins and others, and were ushered into Sydney’s Olympic Park.

As the NSW government allows the Indian team to train during the two-week quarantine period, their training will take place at the Blacktown International Sports Park, which has also been made bio-secure.

Captain Kohli will return home after starting day/night trials in Adelaide (December 17-21) in early January for the birth of his first child, who will receive special treatment during his isolation, according to “The Daily Telegraph “.

The Pullman Hotel, which the Indian team will build over the next two weeks, is also the base for the NSW Blues rugby team, who have now moved to another hotel.

According to The Telegraph, the hotel authorities will provide the India captain with a special penthouse suite where Australian rugby legend Brad Fitler usually lives.

It is understood that the NSW government has also allowed a limited number of families, and player families must abide by isolation rules.

However, Australian stars returning from the United Arab Emirates after the IPL will join their national team’s training camp from November 22. They will train individually.

The white ball game, which begins on November 27, will be played in Sydney and Canberra.

Indian cricketers will wear their first white retro jerseys during the tour, as Kohli and his players will wear navy blue jerseys with colorful shoulder stripes.

It was the 1992 India World Cup kit, and new kit sponsor MPL will bring a retro feel. Nike is no longer associated with the Indian team.

Teams like Australia and New Zealand have tried their old designs over and over again, most notably during World Series cricket matches in the 1980s on Channel 9.
