Mother of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Maye Musk, recently disclosed that she stays with her millionaire son while visiting him in Texas, United States, and that she sleeps in a garage. According to Maye Musk in an interview with The Times, “I have to spend the night in the garage. A luxurious home cannot be located close to a rocket site.”
While Maye didn’t go into additional detail about her unusual living arrangements, she did tell the magazine that her son isn’t particularly interested in material items, according to the New York Post.

Elon Musk admitted he doesn’t “even own a home right now” and stays “at friends’ residences” back in April. Musk revealed in a later tweet that his primary residence is a USD 50,000 rental from SpaceX.
After announcing last summer that he would give up all material possessions to devote his life “to Mars and Earth,” Elon Musk started selling up his real estate holdings.
“Almost all of my material goods are being sold. Will not own a home”, he wrote in a tweet in May 2020. Elon Musk tweeted in 2020, “Don’t need the cash. Possessions only make you feel heavier.
Maye currently resides in a New York apartment with her three children, Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca, who she had with her ex-husband, Errol Musk.

She also discussed the “hard days” she went through after her marriage to Errol ended in her interview with the outlet. “I had a discomfort in my stomach for a very long period after I ended my marriage. I felt a discomfort in my stomach. I was so afraid that I wouldn’t be able to feed my kids”, she admitted.
