Ecogreen produces massive bill of 8.5 crores to LMC for full-scale waste disposal

Despite business in charge of the site, Ecogreen, has received multiple complaints about the slow rate of garbage disposal at the Shivri plant, it has nonetheless filed a bill for 8.5 crore rupees to the Lucknow municipal administration. The corporation has stated that the amount will be utilized to fully operate its waste disposal facility. In addition, the corporation reported that it was successful in collecting the user fee in July, totaling roughly 2 crore, or 25% of the total 75% it is capable of collecting.

Pankaj Singh, a second municipal commissioner, claimed that Ecogreen was tasked with collecting service fees from almost 75% of homes. However, the company’s claim that it was only able to collect from 25% of homes is hard to accept.

Additionally, the corporate officials asserted that around $35,000.00 of the money received was embezzled. A complaint has been filed in this regard against two managers of the third-party firm AS Systems, he added.

Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob gave the corporation 15 days to start running the plant at full capacity during the inspection of the dump site on July 15. However, the business now asserts that it can complete it by September.

“LMC has been dissatisfied with the company for running the plant in an unprofessional manner and allowing piles of rubbish to collect at the site for years,” added additional municipal commissioner Pankaj Singh.

He added, “The company needs the money to operate the factory, but LMC has already given more than enough in the past, leaving us unsatisfied each time. Now is the time for the business to provide results or face consequences.”
