Brahmastra: Pre-booking raises 23 crores over weekend shows

Brahmastra

Even before its release, the epic fantasy film Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is making waves at the box office. The movie has already sold tickets worth 23 crore in advance bookings by Wednesday night, just over a day before it opens, with roughly half of the profits coming from the first day itself.

Given that there is still a full day of advance booking left, this indicates that the movie has already achieved the best advance booking figures of any Hindi film released since the pandemic.

According to numerous sources, Brahmastra has sold tickets for its opening day in all five languages throughout the nation totaling 11 crore. The Hindi version alone has received over 10 crore in advance bookings.

The Hindi adaptation of RRR, which sold tickets worth $7 crore on the first day of advance sales, is now behind the Ayan Mukerji movie in this comparison. It lags well behind KGF: Chapter 2’s staggering advance booking totals (40 crore for Hindi and 80 crore overall).

Brahmastra

It’s safe to say that Brahmastra will have a successful debut. Given the numbers, it is reasonable to infer that the movie would top Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (14.5 crore) and Sooryavanshi (26 crore) in terms of opening weekend box office receipts for Bollywood films during the epidemic era.

To compete with the opening day earnings of the Hindi-dubbed version of KGF: Chapter 2 ( 54 crore), however, it will definitely require a major push.

The first instalment of a planned trilogy, Brahmastra, is an epic fantasy adventure that was directed by Ayan Mukerji. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy also appear in the movie, which is formally titled Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.

It is one of the most expensive Indian movies ever produced, with a staggering 410 crore rupee budget. On September 9, the movie opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D across the globe.
