Akshay Kumar has responded to claims that he charges between 50 and 100 crore for each movie. During his speech at the Selfiee trailer premiere on Sunday in Mumbai, he dodged questions from reporters regarding the typical costs he bills for each project.
Diana Penty, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Emran Hashmi also play major roles in Akshay’s upcoming movie Selfiee. It is a comedy-action movie. Emraan Hashmi will play the role of a police officer and be portrayed as Akshay’s “greatest fan” in the movie.

According to Zoom, Akshay Kumar told the reporter at the premiere of Selfiee’s trailer, “Mera badhiya response rehta hai. How did you react to that? Teri sherwani mein pareshani hui, tune bataya tha. When will this be? (My response is always positive. What did you think? You claimed to have a problem while wearing a sherwani, which made me giggle.)”
Akshay asked, “Acha lagta hai na?,” in response to the reporter’s comment that he felt wonderful. “Or lagna bhi chahiye, how positively are you feeling right now? Sath bhi hai, Bhagwan kare. (It feels great, isn’t it? These are optimistic discussions, so you should feel pleased. I hope it continues to happen with you.)”
In November 2022, during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Akshay discussed the expensive cinema tickets in India. “There are so many more things that need to be done,” he had stated, “and not just by the players, but also by the producers and theatres. I’ll admit that I wish to reduce my prices by 30% to 40%.”
Akshay Kumar posted the Selfiee movie trailer on social media on Sunday “I don’t know who the antagonist of his story is, but the hero is a #Selfie, therefore that makes the Selfie the hero!”
