After the launch of foldable iPhone, Apple might look to discontinue the production of iPad Mini

Apple is reportedly working on its first foldable iPhone, and the Cupertino-based tech giant may stop making the iPad mini after unveiling the new foldable iPhone.

The reasoning behind this is the belief that the next foldable iPhone will be a crossover of the iPhone and iPad Mini and will run iPadOS. When unfolded, the device will have a screen similar to that of an iPad Mini, reports GizmoChina.

The first foldable iPhone is expected to offer at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the base model appears to be priced at $1,499. It will reportedly debut in November 2022. This isn’t the first time Apple has been rumored to be working on a foldable iPhone model.

According to previous reports, Apple has ordered a batch of foldable displays from Samsung, suggesting that it is working on a foldable iPhone. Apple is designing an iPhone with a foldable screen similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. Considering that Samsung is a pioneer in the field and that both brands have a good business relationship, it makes sense for Apple to rely on Samsung for foldable screens.
