Afghanistan bowling maestro signed by Middlesex Cricket for Vitality Blast 2021

The Afghanistani spinning maestro, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was signed by Middlesex for the Vitality Blast 2021. The spinner also had an earlier appearance in the season with the club in 2019 which has drived the owners to sign him back again. Mujeeb’s remarkable abilities and introspective dimensional knowledge of the game led the club to the knockout stage of the season. The bowling sensation has not only proved his efficiency but has also shown great spirit for the game which has brought him the reputation of being one of the world’s finest T20 bowlers. Not only Middlesex, but Mujeeb has been recently added into the squads of well known teams like Kings XI Punjab (Indian Premier League), Jamaica Tallawahs (Carribbean Premium League), Brisbane Heat (Australian Big Bash) and Comilla Warriors (Bangladesh Premier League). These bunch of franchises add to his glorious and enriching technique of bowling and thus proves his efficiency. Adding to that, Mujeeb remains the second ranked best T20 bowler in the world, right behind his countryman, Rashid Khan. This as many believe is one of Mujeeb’s finest achivement and enhances his presence in the team. According to leads, he is all set to play all the group matches for Middlesex and even continue further if his team qualifies in the playoffs.

On securing Mujeeb back into the squad, Stuart Law, the head coach of Middlesex Cricket told the media that he and the whole franchise is extremely glad to have Mujeeb back and is expecting his magic to spell in the field. He also commented that Mujeeb’s bowling will bring in a unique variation and a strong impact in the bowling lineup.

On getting re-signed for Middlesex, Mujeeb told the media’ ” I had a very enjoyable time at Middlesex in 2019 and am pleased to be coming back to play, especially at Lord’s. Hoping to do well ahead”.
