Nirmala Sitharaman, the union finance minister, was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Monday after complaining of abdominal pain, and she was released on Thursday, according to medical personnel.
Sitharaman’s condition had improved, according to a senior physician, and she had been released early in the day. According to medical professionals, Sitharaman was hospitalized on Monday afternoon with a fever and an illness to AIIMS’ old private ward. The hospital’s medical staff was caring for the 63-year-old minister.

She arrived at the hospital with a fever and abdominal ache. She was hospitalized to treat the infection we discovered during our examination of her. She is now free of infection, the doctor added on condition of anonymity.
Sitharaman was also dehydrated, according to medical personnel, and was taking antibiotics to treat her condition.
However, there was no official statement from AIIMS regarding the minister’s health.
Sitharaman has been the union’s minister of finance and corporate affairs since 2019. She has been a Rajya Sabha member since 2014.
She was also formerly India’s defense minister, making history as the first full-time woman to occupy both the defense and finance ministries.
Sitharaman has also held the positions of independent charge minister of trade and industry as well as minister of state for finance and corporate affairs. Before the BJP took office, she served as a spokeswoman for the organization.

Another senior physician at AIIMS stated, “Busy legislators frequently come with the problem of dehydration and especially during the winter season you may not realize that you have not had water or any other drinks for lengthy periods of time.”
